John Brotherton began his career as a financial advisor in 1981, with Integrated Resources, Inc. Since that time, John has worked for various financial institutions, including Inland, American Express Financial Advisors, Security Pacific Bank, and the Acacia Group. In 1998, John became an owner and managing partner of Brotherton Investment Consultants, LLC, a SEC-Registered Investment Advisor.

John attended Emmaus Christian College in Oak Park, IL and Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, where he majored in Finance. John received his board designation as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO, and is currently pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, VA.

John has a broad base of experience in portfolio management and investment consulting. His expertise ranges from asset management to retirement planning, and includes specialization in trust and estate modeling, financial plan design, and business succession planning.

John is a member of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP), the Phoenix CFA Society, and the CFA Institute.

John is a third generation native of Phoenix, AZ. He resides in North Phoenix with his wife, Donna, their three sons, and twin daughters.
